CURRENT STATUS:
On October 24, 2006, our firm filed a lawsuit against Waiting Angels Adoption Services in Macomb Michigan on behalf of five families. All families were clients of Waiting Angels. The lawsuit was filed in the US Federal District Court - Western District Michigan. The families have all been victims of fraud, misrepresentation and various violations of Federal laws. In March 2007, one additional family joined the lawsuit. After the police raid in April 2007 and while criminal charges were pending, the Plaintiffs in this lawsuit (6 families) were granted a Stay of Proceedings placing the lawsuit on hold until the completion of all criminal proceedings.
