The Shorstein Family

Michael Shorstein was the lawyer who have me no other choice but to allow my daughter to be adopted by his high priced friend's (Kathleen Stevens) agency, First Coast Counseling.

I have done a lot of research on his family, and I thought I'd share it with everyone here, just to show how much money (and ties of corruption can be inferred) is in this family.

Some of the information seems irrelevent, but I believe shares with us some of their personalities, and therefore is of interest to me. Since I found all this information on the web, I feel it is public information.

Bess K. Shorstein (who is the woman presented / honored in University of Florida pamphlets)

Although Bess K. Shorstein never attended the University of Florida, she did build strong ties with the university. As a single parent to sons I.) Jack, II.) Buddy and III.) Harry, she supported her family by working as a secretary to the director of the Jacksonville Jewish Community Council, the predecessor to the Jacksonville Jewish Federation. As each of her sons graduated from high school, Bess encouraged them to go to UF and get an education. An enduring link was formed between the Shorstein family and the University of Florida, and in the many years since the eldest son Jack first entered UF in 1947, sons, daughters-in-law, grandsons and a great grandson have found their way to the university.

In honor of Bess K. Shorstein and her role in the Jewish community, the Shorstein Family Foundation, Inc. is proud to sponsor this second annual lecture series, presented by the UF Center for Jewish Studies, in her memory. (see link above)
